Above all else, this is supposed to be a parenting blog. I want it to be a place where my parental vain will gush out into the vast ether of the net. However, other parts of my personality have crept into it and I’ve decided not fight it any longer.

I’m a bit political and I mean that in a quasi-professional way: I have a degree in political science and I’ve interned for a state assemblyman. In the end, I never see myself running for office, but I love to watch it and comment on it (we all can’t play in the NBA, but that doesn’t stop us from being passionate about the sport nonetheless). Other parent bloggers are getting political, so I don’t see why I shouldn’t either.

I love this guy, he’s great.
