Piggy Bank Time is Everywhere
The first step to using piggy bank time is finding it. Think of it as rummaging between the coach cushions and finding money you didn’t know you were quite literally sitting on.
Here’s some examples from a quasi-typical day in my life:
- waiting in line at the supermarket, post office, bail bond agent’s, etc.
- driving my rocket car
- riding on the bus
- washing the dishes
- walking the dog
- shopping with the wife (double bonus: she can go into as many shoe stores as she’d like without a word of complaint from me!)
- waiting for late students before or between lessons
- during commercial breaks (advanced level stuff!)
And the list goes on. Before I started using piggy bank time, it was wasted time. I would get frustrated but I’m not so worried anymore because I’m doing something constructive that I like.

Can you think of any more examples of piggy bank time?
